Advocate Tanu Y. Oza had graduated in political science (BA) and then pursued her Bachelors in Law (LL.B) in 2006 and then Masters in Law (LL.M) in 2008.

Advocate Tanu Y. Oza got her license of practice as an advocate in 2006 and since then she is practicing as lawyer at various courts across Gujarat including District & Session Court, Gandhinagar, Family Court, Gandhinagar, District & Sessions Court, Mehsana, District & Sessions Court, Vadodara, Family Court, Ahmedabad, Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Ahmedabad etc.

She also have experience in representing clients at the Board of Nominees, Co-Operative Tribunal, Registrar of Co-Operative Societies (Appeal), RCS, Gandhinagar, Real Estate Regulation Act (RERA) Tribunal etc at various level.

What is a co-operative society?

Its very important to understand the meaning of a co-operative society from a layman term as well as legal term. The layman dictionary meaning of "co-operative" is "involving a group of people doing the same activities together to try to achieve the same thing, rather than trying to beat each other". In simple meaning, a person who has individual identity joins a group which is formed for the purpose of a common goal and do the same kind of activities to achieve it is called co-operative group. The Gujarat Co-operative Societies Act, 1961 was amended on 29.02.2024 which clearly had defined the difference between a Co-Operative Housing Society and a Co-Operative Housing Service Society.
